Right now FIT is preparing its entry into Copenhagen. Through a friendly takeover of abandoned filling stations and its alternative deployment in the name of creativity, FIT wishes to rethink the global energy politics. What then is more obvious than through the alternative FIT proposes, give food for thought in connection with the climate change conference in Copenhagen?
The social sculpture FIT – initiated by the artist Dida Zende – represents places where creative energies can be refuelled. After Berlin, Ludwigshafen/Tyskland, Kaufdorf/Schweiz and Miami/USA the fifth dependance opens in the heart of Copenhagen, also this time with the help and support from many volunteers.
At FIT artist, people from the local area as well as scientists meet. A participatory exhibition programme and the installation “free international conference” invite the conference attendees to an exchange of views with other interested people. As such FIT makes aware the need for a worldwide binding climate agreement now.
