FITFORONDO !

Summer in Japan means that all over the islands, in every village and town people gather to dance! We are here to show Berlin how it's done. For our Berlin Ondo we have planned: - bon odori traditional summer dance - join freely and learn as you dance! - live music with taiko drums to support us with good beats - Japanese food stands - get your appetities high for those yakisoba! - typical Japanese festival games to enjoy by young and old alike

12:00-13:30: Kids Bon-Odori Priority is given to the little ones! Bring your kids and lets all dance together! (They are of course welcome after 13:30 but it might be busier!) 13:30: Opening Taiko Ceremony + Opening Speech + Kid's Mikoshi 14:00-16:00: Normal Bon-dance with breaks 16:00: 20min Taiko show! 16:20-19:00: DJ time!

We are a not-for-profit cultural association. Thanks to your contributions we can enter the Berliner Karneval der Kulturen with the only original Japanese mikoshi (hand-carried 280 kg wooden shrine) in Europe and continue spreading Japanese folk festival culture.
