CARPARK. Ein Performance- und Ausstellungsprojekt im öffentlichen Raum Berlins.
CARPARK nutzt Autos als demokratische, gemeinschaftliche Räume, um homogene Normen unserer Gesellschaft im öffentlichen Raum und in alltäglichen Situationen in Frage zu stellen. Künstler*innen sind eingeladen, sich mit dem Auto als Objekt und Raum auseinanderzusetzen, sie lassen Autos zu Skulpturen, Orten der Gemeinschaft, zu Gewächshäusern, Räumen für Interventionen und Performances werden. Die Arbeiten werden auf öffentlichen Parkplätzen im gesamten Berliner Stadtraum installiert.
"Als Teil des Performance- und Ausstellungsprojekts CARPARK zeigt die Künstlerin Luki von der Gracht vom 20.1. bis 19.2. die Installation Untitled (2023). Ein eingedellter, pastellgrüner Kleinwagen, abgestellt vor dem verlassenen ehemaligen Tankstellenhäuschen soll zu Fragen und Spekulationen anregen. Nähert man sich dem Auto, wird ein Flüstern hörbar—ein leiser Song klingt aus dem Auto. Mit besonderer Dringlichkeit beschreibt er Transformationen und das Überleben."

CARPARK uses cars as democratic, social spaces to question society’s prevailing norms in public space and in everyday situations. Artists are invited to engage with the car as both an object and a space, turning cars into sculptures, gathering places, greenhouses, or sites of intervention and performance.
A small, pastel green car, of the sort usually driven by elderly ladies, is parked at an abandoned gas station. The hood is heavily dented; the car has been in an accident, and the driver is nowhere to be seen. It is not clear whether the gas station was the scene of the accident or not. If one approaches the car, a whisper becomes audible—music is playing from the car. The silence created by the aftermath of the accident is interrupted by the song’s guitar riff and lyrics:
